We feel privileged to have been given the opportunity to take on this mission. This country, which we love and cherish, was founded on very noble and worthy principles. We, the people and our government, have stood for everything good in the world for many, many years and have helped spread freedom, dignity and goodwill throughout the world. We were an honest, decent and generous country that lived our lives and ran our government based on those principles and values. Our country was truly the shining beacon, and the world knew us for who we were.
Somewhere along the way, our values and principles started to decline, and the pace has accelerated in the last few years. Boundaries have been compromised, widened or erased, and behavior that used to be frowned upon and not accepted—such as lying, stealing and cheating—have become commonplace. We have been concerned by the deterioration of moral values and the lack of boundaries for a number of years, and now we share that concern with you.
We are seeing the first generation of kids who were not taught moral values by their parents and whose parents compromised and/or ignored many of the age-old values of society. Therefore, many kids, teens and young adults have no boundaries, and many traditional rules no longer apply to their behavior. In the past, parents, religious institutions and, to a certain extent, schools taught values. Today, schools are reluctant to address the issue, significantly fewer people attend religious organizations on a regular basis and some parents are simply not doing the job. In order for our country to maintain its leadership in the world, we must reflect upon and reclaim the values upon which our country was founded and which prior generations lived and held dear. We believe that has to start with each one of us individually; this project is an opportunity for us to discover, define and live our individual values.
We have developed the
campaign and
slogan to bring attention to this issue. If we think about our thoughts, words and actions in terms of the word Love, we have the right focus and attitude in life. We become more comfortable with our self and our decisions, leave a favorable impression with people we meet in life’s journey and enhance our reputation and our legacy. In short,

We hope you will take the opportunity to think about your values and the boundaries you place on your life. If you have defined your values and are striving to live them everyday!!!, we welcome you to join the mission and be a resource to those who contact us. If you are in the discovery or rediscovery process, we encourage you to put some structure and discipline into your life. Think of it as a fresh start!
If we harken back to our founding fathers and the values that made this country great, we will find that the list will start with honesty and integrity. A person’s word was his bond and it was good as gold. We meant what we said and we followed through on our words. We did not lie, steal or cheat. Second, we cared for our family, our neighbors, our community and our country. There was a sense of greater good and the sum of all our actions did indeed produce more than our individual actions. We were not selfish or greedy. We were kind and generous with our gifts and monetary resources and we defended those that were persecuted and needed our help. We gave to those less fortunate and we fought wars to defeat those who were evil. We did all this out of a sense of duty and responsibility as the leader of the free world. We were not arrogant and we did not take advantage of others weakness or misfortune. We earned the respect of the world and the world admired all that was good about us. We epitomized the word Love in that we emphasized the good and positive and minimized those behaviors considered to be wrong or harmful.

Where are we today? Survey after survey reports the significant deterioration in values from older demographic groups to the younger generation. Today, it is about living for the moment, self indulgence and self promotion. Discipline and self control are relics of the past. We say or do whatever is necessary without regard for honesty, integrity or the impact on the other person. We are very negative in our words and thoughts. We seem to be sad and hurt more often. We are searching for meaning and significance because we do not have a solid foundation based on values. The soul of this great country has been infiltrated with moral decay and the scales of justice have been tilted to darkness and destructive behaviors.
Our mission is to not only bring us back to equilibrium but to tilt the scales back to good, just and right by encouraging all our fellow citizens to think about their individual values and the values that made this country great. We can be the shining beacon leading this world again if each one of us takes inventory of our principles and we collectively do take our responsibilities as individuals, parents, neighbors, community members and American citizens seriously. We need to emphasize the good in all of us and minimize the destructive behaviors. We need to think about our thoughts, words and actions in the context of Love and how it impacts our reputation, memories that we leave with those we meet in life’s journey and our life’s epitaph. We need to remember that

We believe that if our values include honesty, decency, respect, kindness and generosity, we will have a peaceful and fulfilling life. We will be comfortable with our words and actions. The decisions that we make will be easier. We will have a positive impact on those around us. As mentioned previously, we also like to think of values in the context of our reputation and our legacy. The only things we leave behind are memories with the people we meet in life’s journey, images that people associate with our name and the values that we teach our kids. Whether we realize it or not, all the people we meet during our journey will form an opinion of us and will most likely share that opinion with other people. The question we all need to ask of ourselves is, “What are they going to say about me?”
While history cannot be changed, the rest of today and all of tomorrow is a clean slate. Each of us can provide the answer if we think about our words, thoughts and actions in the context of Love. We encourage you to make a fresh start, be cognizant of and discard those bad habits you may have picked up, choose the values that define you, display them in a visible place and Live Your Values Everyday!!!
We would like to thank God for giving us guidance in this project, and we pray that He will be honored, hearts will be receptive and lives will be touched. After all, it was He who gave us the Ten Commandments—basic words on which our values were formed. He also told us to “love your neighbor as yourself,” an outstanding values statement by itself, which blends nicely with our
slogan. While we look to God for our strength and guidance, we will not impose our values on anyone who reads this content. Everyone will be given the opportunity to choose his or her values with the
template.
Finally, we go back to the first settlers of this great country. When those settlers arrived, they entered into a pact to benefit and preserve the entire group. The Mayflower Compact gives us the principles that this country was founded on, stating, “…Having undertaken, for the Glory of God, and Advancement of the Christian Faith…to plant the first Colony in the northern Parts of Virginia.” Doesn’t this mean that the
mission is to share our
? We think that is does if you go back to our definition of LOVE. While our country has welcomed many different groups over the years and we respect their religious views and values, our basic values which are built on a foundation of honesty, decency and generosity should not be compromised and should be carried forward by future generations. We invite you to join us on the
mission.
